A New Jersey native, Tarrazi was graduated from Rutgers University with a Journalism and Media Studies degree and began writing professionally at the Daily Targum.

She later worked as a beat reporter, covering everything from political scandals to celebrity profiles.

Tarrazi's work has garnered her various journalism awards for writing and photography. She also worked as a one-woman-band by creating video news segments and is skilled in social media.

East Rutherford Police Letting It Grow To Raise Awareness EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — East Rutherford police became the latest department to forgo the razor blades and let their facial hair grow for No-Shave November, in an effort to raise awareness of men's physical and mental health issues, including prostate cancer. Maywood Residents Unite To Help Family Displaced By Fire MAYWOOD, N.J. — Maywood residents dropped off cash and gift card donations on Wednesday and Thursday for two families who were displaced by a house fire. Since the two families have students who attend Maywood Avenue School, Superintendent of Schools Michael Jordan opened up the school’s gym to be used as a drop-off location for donations. “It’s good to help out our neighbors,” said Anthony Panissidi, an eighth-grader at MAS who was at the donation table on Thursday. “If anything were to ever happen to us, I would want people to help us too.” Residents were asked to drop off cash and gift …

Lyndhurst's Memorial School Encourages Literacy Through Read-a-thon LYNDHURST, N.J -- Lyndhurst Memorial School is hosting a Read-A-Thon through the end of November in an effort to make reading more fun and exciting for students. Carlstadt Class Collects 87 Pounds Of Candy For Troops Overseas CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Fourth-grade students collected and donated 87 pounds of Halloween candy in one day to send to overseas troops. Maura Barrett, a fourth-grade teacher at Carlstadt Public School, organized the donation. 200 Club Of Bergen Honors Lyndhurst Hero Police Officer In Train Crash LYNDHURST, N.J. -- The 200 Club of Bergen County last month honored Lyndhurst Police Officer Michael Keane for rescuing passengers from a derailed Amtrak train this past spring. Keane and his fiancee, Courtney Keegan of North Arlington, were on the Amtrak No. 188 train that derailed on May 13 in Philadelphia.
