Teaneck Swears In First Female Firefighter

TEANECK, N.J. — The first ever female will soon join the ranks of the Teaneck Fire Department.

Ashley Hahn — whose father, Edward — is a Teaneck police officer — was sworn in along with Mark A. Depompeo Thursday morning in Council chambers.

The department celebrated its centennial in 2015, and is among four paid fire departments in Bergen County — others being Ridgewood, Englewood and Hackensack.
