Led by non-profit agecy "Finding the Fabulous," the event included a panel project on women and the industries they are underrepresented in, a negotiation workshop and a host of speakers.
"I wish I could have described the feeling in the room this weekend," founder Lauren Curriotto said. "I've never seen a group of girls, all meeting for the first time, come together to support one another so fully and fiercely.
"It's like they were somehow magically in-tune with each other's doubts and fears, and wanted to see those insecurities be overcome."
Whether they were cheering on their teammate in our boxing workshop or stuffing 20 people in a dorm room just to talk late at night, Curiotto saw no selfishness or self-importance during last weekend's event.
"I love working with these girls, but at the same time, it can be terrifying," Curiotto said. "They're teens who are not afraid to say what they think.
"Their words have the power to hurt, but, instead, they really used them to create a sisterhood."
