The Chape' family -- owners of Bogota's Big Papa Smokem -- was not home when the large tree fell through their attic and into the living room on Feb. 3.

More than $10,800 had been raised on a GoFundMe as of Wednesday night to help them.

"This was their home. This is where their baby girl took her first steps," the page says.

"Where their father taught their oldest son to swing a bat, where their youngest son first said 'I’m going to be a pediatrician.' Now, in the blink of an eye, it’s condemned.

"One night, one giant tree and one strong breeze, and all of a sudden all is lost. Imagine coming home from a hard days work, from the restaurant you bleed to run. It’s freezing cold and you realize your home is destroyed."
