Katherine Meechan, known as Kaye, “is about to have the fight of her life in her rematch with cancer,” her nephew Scott Florio of Pompton Lakes wrote on a GoFundMe campaign page he set up to raise money for Meechan.

As of Tuesday morning, the page had garnered nearly $2,000 in donations for Meechan, who has bone, liver and lung cancer.

“Please give anything you can to support her. She is not deserving of this punishment and she has to pull through to help raise her great nieces and nephews,” wrote Florio, a former Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps.
