TEANECK, N.J. — The Black Box Performing Arts Center in Teaneck will present “Bad Jews,” the first full production of its 2016-17 professional theater season, in September.
The play, by Joshua Harmon, examines assimilation, intermarriage, and every major issue facing any and every religious community today.
“Bad Jews” is running 8 p.m. three consecutive weekends next month - Sept. 7, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24.
The local production, presented in special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., features Michael Gardiner, Molly Rose Heller, Emily Loewus, and David Meyers.
The Huffington Post called “Bad Jews,” which ran off-Broadway in 2013, “one of the funniest things on the New York stage" while the New York Post called it a "smart, divisive conversation starter."
Audience talk-backs with the cast, creative team, and special guests in Teaneck will take place after most performances.
The Black Box Performing Arts Center is at 200 Walraven Drive.
