TEANECK, N.J. --The Teaneck Public Library will present the Hudson Shakespeare production of “Almost Maine" on Thursday, April 7.
On a cold, crisp late winter evening, in a town that’s almost not on a map, a group of people find love, friendship and unexpected connections in the charming little community of Almost, Maine.
The charmingly quirky comedy serves up a series of short skits that show different residents and visitors in the span of one night in a town in northern Maine that doesn’t have a zip code but merely latitude and longitude coordinates.
Founded in 1992 and incorporated as a nonprofit company in 1998, the Hudson Shakespeare Company (HSC) continues striving toward bringing the classics and contemporary theater to a myriad of locations and venues in New Jersey and the greater tristate area.
Through its programs, HSC seeks to create innovative and comfortable atmospheres for all of its personnel, from onstage to backstage, and provide broad cultural and artistic exposure and an overall inviting experience for its audiences.
The program is free and open to the public. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. and will last a little more than an hour.
For more information, call 201-837-4171.
The library is at 840 Teaneck Road, Teaneck.
