Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Motorcyclist Killed In Route 1 Crash, 2nd Fatal In Same Day In South Brunswick Two people were killed in separate crashes in South Brunswick including a motorist from South River and a motorcyclist from Pennsylvania, authorities said. At 5:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, officers were alerted to a single-car crash on Route 535.  The preliminary investigation shows a Nissan Maxima, operated by a 65-year-old man from South River, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Small Plane Crashes In Burlington County: FAA A single-engine Beechcraft Sierra crashed shortly after departing South Jersey Regional Airport in Lumberton, according to the FAA, The crash occurred at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday, April 22.  Only the pilot was on board, the FAA said. The federal agency did not say whether the pilot was injured. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide any updates.

Bridgeton's Zane A. Berry Loved To Fish, 23 Zane Austin Berry, a native of Bridgeton, died on April 13, according to an obituary published by Pancoast Funeral Home. He was 23 years old. He was a 2018 graduate of Woodstown High School.  He worked as an installer for RCL Solar, his obituary said.  "Zane was very outgoing, with the largest heart," his obituary said. Sicklerville's Maria E. Watford, Nursing Home Activity Director, 46 Maria E. Watford, of Sicklerville, died on April 16, according to an obituary published by Farnelli Funeral Home. She was 46 years old.
