Each county in the state is asked to submit six pieces of artwork to represent the county. This artwork is selected by a panel of art teachers in each county and must be created by students of current Art Educators of New Jersey members.

The 2016 state exhibit will be from March 4-11 at the Statehouse in Trenton. More than 100 pieces of state student artwork will be on display, representing every county in the state.

Thomas Jefferson Middle School art teacher Jessica Stephens submitted Brandon’s work to the county panel. Brandon’s winning entry was a portrait of Michael Jackson. To see more of Thomas Jefferson’s great artwork, visit the display in the Eugene Field School lobby.
