Teaneck Officials Question Purpose Of Investigative Subcommittee

TEANECK, N.J. -- The Teaneck Town Council voted to create a panel to investigate policies and procedures within all departments last month, but now some officials are beginning to question if the subcommittee's scope is too broad, according to NorthJersey.com.

Officials like councilman Jason Castle applaud the intent of the subcommittee, but remain unclear if the panel is investigating anything specific. As a result, Castle has requested the group headed Mayor Lizette Parker, Deputy Mayor Elie Katz and Councilman Mohammed Hameeduddin not convene for two weeks while the council attempts to set limits on the panel's jurisdiction, NorthJersey.com reported.
