Hameeduddin, Pruitt, Schwartz Re-Elected To Teaneck Township Council

TEANECK, N.J. — Incumbents Mohammed Hameeduddin, Henry Pruitt and Mark Schwartz were re-elected to the Teaneck Township Council on Tuesday.

Hameeduddin received 3,834 votes, followed by Schwartz with 3,295 votes.

Pruitt received 3,219 votes, rounding out the top three.

Chondra Young received 2,461 votes, followed by Michael Pagan with 2,416 votes and Stephen Gruber with 1,985 votes.

Jacob Herenstein received 525 votes.

Schwartz, Hameeduddin and Pruitt all ran on the "Moving Teaneck Forward," platform, promising to keep taxes at a minimum.

"I'm able to help the township of Teaneck better than I could before with people I can work with," Pruitt told Daily Voice. "I'm looking forward to working with Mr. Hameeduddin and Mr. Schwartz again."

Schwartz promised more of the same in the four years to come.

"We want to keep doing everything we have been doing," Schwartz told Daily Voice. "We are going to keep taxes steady and keep giving the people what they want."

Voters will return to the polls in November to vote for a replacement to Mayor Lizette Parker, who died last month.
