Hackensack Man Busted Twice By Teaneck Police With 11 Pounds Of Pot, $7,000

TEANECK, N.J. – Teaneck police busted a Hackensack man twice in a little over a month, seizing a total of 11 pounds of pot and more than $7,000 in alleged drug proceeds after getting a tip that he was selling drugs in town, authorities said Wednesday.

Jason A. Hunter was arrested in late October with a pound and a half of pot and $1,841 in cash following a traffic stop, Acting Police Chief Glenn M. O’Reilly said.

More than a month later, he was out on bail when members of O’Reilly’s Narcotics and Burglary squads against stopped Hunter – this time finding 9½ pounds of the drug and $5,166 in cash, the acting chief said.

Hunter again posted bail -- $20,000 this time – and was released once more, records show.
