Wayne PD: Mom With Son, 2, Tries Carrying Marijuana Into Courtroom

WAYNE, N.J. -- A woman headed into Wayne Municipal Court with her 2-year-old son Thursday afternoon was also carrying a bag of pot, said authorities who arrested her.

Officer Adrian Sulejmani was working the security station when 30-year-old Deltrice Robinson of Newark walked through -- smelling of marijuana, Capt. Laurence Martin said.

A baggage inspection turned up a plastic bag of pot, he said.

Robinson was processed at police headquarters and released without bail pending a hearing on drug possession charges.

Police also notified the state Division of Child Protectives Services, Martin said.
