Flannelly of Paramus was driving with his family through a desolate road in Maryland while on vacation when he came up on a car that had veered off the roadway and into a tree.

The windshield was shattered, and a young mother was bleeding and standing holding a baby.

"Mrs. Flannelly took the child, administered some minor first aid while the captain did some traffic and blocked road with his personal truck and summoned 9-1-1," RPPD said.

"A short time later, Worcester County Sheriffs Department arrived on scene as did Ocean City Fire Department with one engine, and an ambulance."

The driver and child were reunited with the husband/father and family who arrived on dirt bikes. There were only minor injuries to child and mom, thanks to the Flannelly Family.
