“An argument ensued and Virgo pulled out some type of sharp weapon, slashed him across his face and fled the area,” Detective Capt. Timothy Torell told CLIFFVIEW PILOT last Wednesday.

The 31-year-old victim refused to cooperate at first, Torell said.

But “after being released from the hospital, and realizing the extent of his facial injury,” he identified Virgo as his assailant, the captain said.

Torell urged her to surrender to face aggravated assault and illegal weapons possession charges. A day later, she did.
