SHOUT OUT: The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Squad this morning made its third Narcan save this year when members rescued a 24-year-old heroin addict who’d overdosed.
Township police responding to the 11:20 a.m. call on Intervale Road found the victim lying outside “unresponsive and barely breathing,” the TVAC’s Izzy Infield told CLIFFVIEW PILOT .
Suqad members “arrived moments later and administered Narcan,” Infield said.
“The patient was brought to the ambulance, where a paramedic unit from Holy Name Medical Center was waiting,” he added. “The patient became alert and conscious in the ambulance after a single does of Narcan by TVAC and was transported to [HNMC].”
