Teaneck teen mistakes gas for brake, crashes car into Paramus mall parking lot utility pole

ONLY ON CVP: An 18-year-old female driver mistook the gas pedal for the brake, sending her car into a utility pole in the parking lot of the Garden State Plaza in Paramus and sending her and her two teenage passengers to the hospital this afternoon.

Paramus EMS dispatched two ambulances to the mall’s south parking lot following the 3:30 p.m. crash.

The driver and two passengers — an 18-year-old man and 17-year-old girl — all of Teaneck, all sustained minor injuries, police said.

The Infiniti G35 was removed via flatbed tow truck.
