Surveillance Photos Produce Paterson Burglary Bust

PATERSON, N.J. -- Clear surveillance photos led to the arrest of a Paterson man for a machine shop theft, authorities said.

Rafael Lopez stole a grinder machine and tools from the loading dock room of 176 East 7th Street during operating hours on or about July 11, Police Director Jerry Speziale said.

Detectives identified him thanks to surveillance photos published on Daily Voice and elsewhere that produced several tips, Speziale said.

They arrested him at 6:50 a.m. Friday near the corner of Main Street and De Grasse Street, the director said.
