Detective Scott Habermann pulled over the black Nissan Juke near the corner of Saddle River Road and Railroad Avenue Monday night, Detective Capt. John A. Zotollo said.

He arrested the driver, 57-year-old Jean Hood, after finding the drugs, Zotollo said.

Hook was released pending a Dec. 8 court hearing, the captain said.

Such proactive work helps keep the township safer, he said.

"Detective Scott Habermann, and all officers of our department, will continue to do all we can to get the heroin off the streets of our community," Zotolo said.
