Ridgewood Man Charged With Harassing Franklin Lakes Synagogue

FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. – A Ridgewood man left harassing voice mails for a Franklin Lakes synagogue, said police who are treating it as a bias crime.

Jonathan Webman, 50, called Temple Emmanuel twice earlier in the month and left messages about the notorious Nazi Heinrich Himmler, Capt. John Bakelaar said Monday.

Webman was released on a summons charging him with bias harassment.

Webman a few years ago posted on his Facebook page: “What the future shall hold for me and my friends and loved ones. How much life do I have remaining, with which to bring about a multi-lateral winning situation for all of them?”
