Green Stuff On Glen Rock Street Turns Out To Be Paint Spill

GLEN ROCK, N.J. — A report of a possibly hazardous material spill near a Glen Rock storm drain turned out to be water-based, green paint that a contractor washed from his buckets and onto Rutland Road.

Glen Rock and Hawthorne departments was flushed with the Hawthorne Fire Department Engine No. 4's water tank with direction from the Bergen County HazMat Unit over the phone, witnesses said.

No injuries were reported.
