The 30-year-old victim told police he was at the Sheng Garden Restaurant around 5:15 Sunday night when both men came in, began punching him in the face and threatened to shoot him, Teaneck Police Detective Lt. Andrew McGurr told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

He said they left, got into his Toyota Corolla parked out front and took his cell phone and iPod before driving off in a red Honda Civic coupe with South Carolina license plates.

The man refused medical assistance and identified the two robbers for police, McGurr said.

Both turned themselves in last night.

Aaron Edwards, 19, a onetime honor student who was known as Aaron Qualls when he played for Teaneck High School, is being held on $212,500 bail in the Bergen County Jail, along with 23-year-old Demetrius Marquis Jeffers of South Carolina.

Both are charged with first-degree robbery and burglary, theft and making terroristic threats.
