Elmwood Park police arrest Teaneck man on heroin charges

The anti-heroin initiative growing throughout the state included an arrest by Elmwood Park police yesterday of a 22-year-old Teaneck man who they said was carrying 58 bags of heroin, a large amount of materials used to package heroin and a syringe.

Mark Olszewski was acting suspiciously when Officer Michael Ingrasselino approached him sitting in a car parked on River Drive yesterday afternoon, Police Chief Michael Foligno said this morning.

Olszewski was released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court to answer charges of heroin possession with the intent to distribute the drug in a school zone, as well as possession of the syringe and other drug paraphernalia.
