TEANECK, N.J. – A caller’s report brought Teaneck police to a neighborhood where they nabbed three men who they said were burglarizing vehicles.

The call came in just after 6:30 a.m. Sunday from the area of Mildred Street and Johnson Avenue, Acting Police Chief Glenn M. O’Reilly said Friday.

Moments later, Officer Glenn Coley stopped Mohamed Monessar, 19, on Queen Anne Road near Johnson Avenue and found him carrying marijuana, a flashlight, cash, a pair of sunglasses and headphones, the chief said.

Monessar was taken into custody, he said.

An hour after the call, Officer Michael Danenza stopped Wellington Antun Jr. of Teaneck and Bryan Pacheco of Bogota, both 20, on Queen Anne Road in the area of Copley Avenue, only a few blocks from the scene, O’Reilly said.

Antun also had pot, a flashlight and cash, while Pacheco had a flashlight, cash and a knife, he said.

“On scene questioning and footprints left in the snow enabled the officers on scene to tie [both] to the cars that had been entered,” the chief said.

Antun and Pacheco were arrested, too.

Meanwhile, Sgt. William Croonquist found their car, which was impounded while detectives obtained a search warrant, O’Reilly said.

They later found several items believed stolen from area vehicles, he said.

All three were charged with burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools. Monessar and Antun were also charged with pot possession.

They were released pending initial appearances in Central Municipal Court on Feb. 1.

Additional charges were likely once all the items found in their car was inventoried, the chief said.
