YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: Hours after posting bail for his arrest on burglary charges, an 18-year-old Teaneck man exchanged flames with a Facebook commenter on a local media site.
“I’ve seem Denzel Castro on my block on Amsterdam Avenue, in Teaneck, riding a dirt bike with no plates,” the poster wrote yesterday afternoon. “Yeah….this is usually how criminals begin their long bad-rap-sheet careers. How come the parents of these young kids don’t take care of these young soon-to-be criminals !!!”
Castro, who was released earlier in the day on $10,000 bail, responded last night with a fellatio reference and a brag that he can “always pop bail.”
“smd u bitch,” his post on The Bergen Record’s website says. “i run the streets of teaneck n i always pop bail i don’t sleep in the county.”
Records show that Castro did spend the night in the county jail just last month after being busted in Englewood and Teaneck on traffic violations.
On Thursday, Teaneck police said they grabbed him and 19-year-old Solomon Aluko following a Grant Terrace burglary.
Castro rode off on a stolen bicycle and was spotted by a patrolman moments after the break-in, police said. Aluko drove off in a Mercedes Benz that they said they later found. A resident called as the arrests were being made to tell police he’d found electronics in his trash can — the burglary proceeds.
Castro was charged with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and hindering arrest “for giving false information when stopped,” acting Police Chief Robert Carney said yesterday.
Aluko was charged with burglary, theft and tampering with evidence for the “discarded proceeds in the garbage can,” Carney said.
