Robert Leonard Wilson, 77, Former Teaneck Resident

TEANECK, N.J. – Robert Leonard Wilson, 77, of Torrington, Conn., formerly of Teaneck, died Saturday, June 11, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington. He was 77.

He was born in Teaneck on May 19, 1939, to H. Leonard and Marie Evelyn Wilson. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, and served on the U.S. Navy's first guided missile cruiser, the USS Boston as a radioman. After the Navy, he worked in the commercial construction business, rising to the position of contract acquisition and job specification manager, and served a term as president of the industry's National Association. 

He was a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid golfer.

Survivors include his son, Robert A. Wilson; a sister, Marjorie A. Guinan; and brother, Thomas E. Wilson.

He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Lou Troychak.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Wilson family gravesite in Hackensack Cemetery, 289 Hackensack, Ave, Hackensack.
