John Cronin, 78, Of Teaneck

TEANECK, N.J. -- John Cronin, of Teaneck, died on Sunday, Dec. 25. He was 78.

He was born Nov. 1, 1938 in New York, to Eileen and William Cronin. He graduated from Rice High School in New York and Iona College also in New York. In 1962 he married Marge McCausland who pre-deceased him in 2004. He then married Mary (Meg) Hennessey in 2006. 

He was a retired partner with Deloitte and a nationally recognized tax expert. He was also a professor of graduate studies at Fordham University and has written several books on taxation. He adored his beloved wife Meg and took every opportunity to be with his many grandchildren, friends, and colleagues in his Ocean Grove home. He loved to golf and read and was a member of the New Athletic Club in New York and the Strand Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL.

He is survived by his three children, John, Dan, and Jeanie, his wife Meg; and eleven grandchildren.
