Edward Allan Abraham, 56, Lifelong Teaneck Resident

TEANECK, N.J. — Lifelong Teaneck resident Edward Allan Abraham died Tuesday, May 10. He was 56.

For his service in the U.S. Marine Corps, Abraham received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Rifle Marksman Badge and Good Conduct Medal. 

After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Abraham found employment in the ink industry. 

He was employed by Sun Chemical for more than 20 years as plant manager.

Abraham was a long-standing member of the First Baptist Church of Teaneck, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a founding member of the Georgia College on-campus social group the Imperial Bachelors. 

Abraham is survived by his wife, Cerese Abraham; his daughter, Alana R. Abraham; his son, Rashon and his wife Tiffany Shelborne; his son, Allan R. Abraham; his father, Edward Abraham, Sr.; his brother, Darryl Abraham; his sister, Michelle Abraham; his nephew Darryl A. Abraham; his cousin, Desiree Martin; He's also survived by his grandchildren, Rashon K. Shelborne Jr., Elijah Shelborne, Jordan Shelborne and Trinity Shelborne; two nephews; four nieces; lifelong friends Randle Brazil, Norris Browne and John Hall; and a host of relatives and friends.

Abraham was predeceased by his mother, Laura C. Abraham.
