Township officials plan to acquire a town-wide loudspeaker system to alert residents if a leak, spill, fire or explosion occurs due to a train derailment carrying Bakken crude oil, according to the report.

Teaneck officials’ next plan of action is working on a permanent place of shelter should an evacuation occur.
