Hundreds Unite To Save 100-Year-Old Edgewater Church From Demolition

EDGEWATER, N.J. — A petition intending to preserve a 100-year-old church in Edgewater has drawn the attention of the borough's mayor and hundreds of other residents.

With more than 300 signatures so far, the petition claims that the church was recently sold and will soon be demolished.

The petition suggests continuing the demolition of the Church's hall but preserving the building's facade as a historical site.

Edgewater Mayor Michael McPartland emailed the creator of the petition demonstrating his support in declaring it a historical site.
