She sang a rendition of Etta James' "All I Could Do Was Cry" on Monday night in the blind auditions, before singing a duet with Keys, "her idol," she said.

Temple, 28, is a nurse at Holy Name Medical Center, and went through six rounds of chemotherapy last summer after being diagnosed with cancer, according to her bio on "The Voice" website.

The artist comes from a musical background and was dubbed "Felicia Keys" in high school. Her father has been touring with The Sugarhill Gang for as long as she can remember.
