Dumont Parents Fight For Baby With Rare Seizure Disorder

DUMONT, N.J. — Two Dumont parents are asking the community to help their daughter battle a rare seizure disorder.

Makayla Nunez, who is only 6-months-old, was diagnosed with Ohtahara Syndrome, a rare form of epilepsy in May. She is currently on medication to help abate her seizures.

Makayla's father, Mario, started a GoFundMe to help pay for Makayla's treatment. To date, the family has raised $2,285 of its $35,000 goal.
