Debris left on site from the construction of routes 80 and 95 caused trees to take root on top of the waste piles and must be removed so that the area can be properly cleaned.

The restoration team and Weed Warriors identified approximately 80 trees that are being removed due to their location on top of the debris.

Later this year, the trash piles will also be removed and the wetland restoration is expected to begin in September 2016.

Some trails will be closed to visitors to ensure safety. Signs will be posted throughout the park detailing off-limit sites.
