Teaneck Youth Performing Arts Center Opens For Season

TEANECK, N.J. — The Musical Theater Workshop for Children and the Teen Musical Theater Ensemble are now under way at Black Box Studios.

The studio offers "cutting-edge productions and innovative programs for students of all ages, experience levels, and backgrounds run year-round."

The teens are rehearsing for this winter's production of "Bat Boy: The Musical," based on a series of 1992 news stories claiming that a creature — half-man and half-bat — was discovered in West Virginia.

There are still slots open at the studio for understudies and managers.
