TEANECK, N.J. — The newest play being presented by the Teaneck Theater Group, "Out of Sterno," will debut in May.
The show will run from Sunday, May 5 to Sunday, May 22 at the Becton Theatre, 960 River Road on the FDU campus in Teaneck.
"Out of Sterno" tells the story of Dotty and her husband Hamel's life in Sterno, which Dotty believes to be idyllic despite being confined to her apartment and unable to speak to anyone.
After a phone call from a mysterious woman threatens her marriage, Dotty decides to leave her apartment to explore Sterno and discover her own identity. The comedy explores the challenges of growing up and the societal pressures women face.
The play has some strong language and some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
Show times are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
