The Shade Tree Advisory Board is sponsoring Trees of Love, which will all be planted in township parks.

Plantings can be used to show respect for rites of passage, including an anniversary, birth, graduation, birthday, or wedding. Some trees are planted as a way to memorialize a loved one.

The charge is $350, which covers the cost of the tree, planting, water bag, and an inscribed granite plaque.

People can choose what they like from a wide variety of native trees and select the park of their choice.

Though tree orders can be placed all year, trees will be planted only in the spring and autumn.

A list of tree choices and a downloadable application is available at http://www.teanecknj.gov/Trees-Of-Love/ Paper applications are available at the Teaneck Public Library at 840 Teaneck Road.
