TEANECK, N.J. -- Teaneck officials have approved plans to place memorials on the municipal green to commemorate victims of the slave trade and holocaust, according to NorthJersey.com. The square-shaped memorials have been approved for four potential sites. They can be up to 1,225 square feet, NorthJersey.com reported.
The township council must next approve an ordinance that would provide greater detail on how the memorials will be built, but no date has been set on that measure, NorthJersey.com said.
