Senior Wellness Fair In Teaneck Features Screenings

TEANECK, N. J. -- Local senior citizens are invited to participate in a variety of health screenings and activities during a senior wellness fair Wednesday in Teaneck.

Teaneck, along with other local agencies, is hosting a HealthEASE Senior Wellness Fair Dec. 2 in Teaneck.

The HealthEASE Senior Wellness Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the Asian Women's Christian Association, 9 Genesee Ave.

Health professionals will be available at the fair to conduct screenings for vascular and pulmonary health, blood pressure, oral health, vision, skin care, body mass index, bone density, strength and hearing.

Appointments are required for blood chemistry analysis, including A1c, Vitamin D and Hepatitis B screenings.

This blood draw screening requires a 12-hour fast and is limited to the first 50 reservations. Call (201) 336-7437 to reserve a spot.

The event is co-sponsored by The Bergen County Health Department, Teaneck Health Department (in conjunction with Holy Name Medical Center) and a variety of other providers. Light refreshements will be served.
