Teaneck Cultural Center Features Night Of Balkan Music

TEANECK, N.J. -Tavche Gravche will deliver a Macedonian/Mediterranean sound infused with the energy of Balkan music 7 p.m. July 29 at the Puffin Cultural Forum in Teaneck.

The trio released its debut album, "Our Village," two years ago.

Clarinetist Vasko Dukovski, born in Macedonia, is a graduate of the Juilliard School, according to the Parlor Series blog.

Also featured are Israeli-born guitarist Dan Nadel, who is steeped in both the jazz and flamenco traditions, and jazz bassist Daniel Ori, also from Israel, the group’s founder.

The Puffin Cultural Forum is a gallery and performance space whose work focuses on the intersection of the arts and human rights struggles. It is located at 20 Puffin Way.
