Teaneck Concert Aids Suicide Prevention Efforts

TEANECK, N.J. -- The Ethical Brew is serving up a blend of folk and indie music on Saturday, Sept.17 in Teaneck.

Matt Nakoa on guitar and Efrat Shapira on violin will perform at 8 p.m. at The Ethical Culture Society of Bergen County.

Proceeds from this performance will be donated to American Foundation for Suicide Prevention 

Nakoa recently appeared at The White House and is an internationally touring singer/songwriter. He performs throughout India, and regularly with folk icon Tom Rush. 

Efrat Shapira is a professional violinist, violist, singer, arranger and composer. Before striking out to focus on her own creative musical pursuits, she was a member of the well-known folk band Spuyten Duyvil for several years. She currently resides in New York City and works as a performing artist and teacher.
