TEANECK, N.J. -- "Mighty Max" Weinberg of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band is playing the Annual Founders Ball benefit for Teaneck's Holy Name Medical Center on Saturday, Oct. 10, at Manhattan's Chelsea Piers. Tickets are $750 each.
The night's honoree is Angelica Berrie, president of the philanthropic Russ Berrie Foundation, which supports diabetes research and humanism in medicine, among other causes.
Berrie has given the medical center a $5 million grant for its Institute for Simulation Learning, where budding ER staffers learn how to handle emergencies using mannequins.
Weinberg has assembled a dance band that includes former Styx member Glen Burtnik and singer-songwriter Shayna Steele.
