TEANECK, N.J. -- It's movie night at the Teaneck American Legion on Tuesday, April 19, and "The Big Short" is queued up.

The film is "based on the true story of four outsiders who saw what the big banks, media and government refused to: the global collapse of the economy," the Amazon.com description reads. "A bold investment leads them into the dark underbelly of banking, where everyone and everything is in question."

The film features Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Brad Pitt and Marisa Tomei. It's rated R and has a runtime of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Bring a food item for the pantry food bank, which supports local veterans. "They deserve no less than our admiration and assistance," organizers note. Also, bring some cookies or snacks to share at the refreshment table. Beverages will be available from American Legion Vets.

The movie will begin at 7 p.m. The American Legion Hall is located at 650 American Legion Dr., across the street from Stop & Shop. You can park on the south end of the parking lot.
