Hear 'Songs Of The Season' At Teaneck Library

TEANECK, N.J. — A multi-cultural musical celebration of the winter holidays takes place on Friday, Dec. 4 at the Teaneck Public Library.

The holiday concert “Songs of the Season" features Robin Greenstein and includes selections from general Yuletide music, Christmas, Gospel Christmas, Chanukah and Kwanzaa.

Songs are performed and sung on guitars, ukulele and percussion instruments in English, Hebrew, Ladino, Spanish, German, Swedish and Yoruban. The origins of the holidays are also explained.

This free program is open to the public and is intended to engage people from all walks of life and all ages. Audience participation is encouraged.

Robin Greenstein has sung the national anthem for the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, headlined for Renaissance Cruise Lines, appeared on national television and performed at South Street Seaport, the Statue of Liberty, Citicorp Center, Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Club Med. She has performed in 44 states at colleges, coffeehouses, schools and libraries.

Greenstein has a B.A. in music and researched Jewish music for the American Jewish Congress. She was also signed to Bob Dylan’s publishing company as a songwriter and has five CDs of original, folk and children's music.

The public is welcome to attend this free program that takes place at 10:30 a.m. in the library auditorium. There also will be a coffee and socializing session that precedes it at 10 a.m. The library is located at 840 Teaneck Road at the corner of Cedar Lane.
