TEANECK, N.J. -- Dr. Sharyn Lewin, director of Holy Name Medical Center’s Gynecologic Oncology Division, will hold a discussion on gynecological cancer detection and prevention at 7 p.m. Oct. 21, said the Teaneck Public Library.
“Building awareness and empowering women to take control of their gynecological health is one of the best ways to combat diseases that women are prone to,” said Lewin. “I hope that through discussion forums like these, we foster a more supportive environment where communities speak openly about women’s cancers.”Inspired by the vision of one courageous woman who battled gynecological cancer, Lewin established the Lewin Fund, dedicated to combating the challenges that one in two women face – cancer, the library added.
The public is invited. The library is at 840 Teaneck Road.
