Birders To Scout For Eagles Along Teaneck Greenway

TEANECK, N.J. -- Don Torino, president of the Bergen County Audubon Society, will lead a bird walk Sunday, Sept. 11 around Indian Pond in Andreas Park in Teaneck.

Walkers might even be lucky enough to see eagles, as they have established a nest in the area along the river.

The Hackensack River is along the eastern flyway and is a stop-off point for many species of birds and water birds, according to a release from the Friends of the Hackensack River Greenway through Teaneck.

Bring a pair of binoculars. The group will meet in the Andreas Park parking lot near the tennis court.

The bird walk is from 9:30-11 a.m.
