TEANECK, N.J. — Shelves are stocked and construction is nearly finished on Teaneck's new Walgreens, but it's unclear when the Cedar Lane pharmacy will open for business.
A Chamber of Commerce representative told Daily Voice after speaking with several township officials — including Manager William Broughton — that a temporary construction regulation has been issued and the store can open "when they want."
"I do not know, though, when they will ultimately decide to open."
This Walgreens is Teaneck's second. It is located just a block away from the CVS, at the former site of Louie's Charcoal Pit.
The township's building department withheld further information when Daily Voice called on Wednesday.
The Walgreens features a drive-thru pharmacy, 36 parking spots and two entrances.
